More Goodies

there was plenty of eye candy at Motoblot. Each belonged to a dedicated owner who loves showing off their steed. Each washed to a mirror shine reflecting admirers faces in their perfectly designed curves. Each represents a history unto itself.

What was old now is new:

Indian. The new cruiser looks set for a haul along Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles. The old police bike would be a great ‘big road’ rider.

Kawasaki? Team Green knows about power – like this canny Eddie Lawson bicep is set for action.
The Purple People Eater:  two stoke powerband terror of the seventies would scare the mane off a lion. The Mach IV

The bumblebee world traveller is the much desired BMW GS1000. Big legs for long distances.

A weary looking edge worn Beemer yearns for Barvarian strasse to plod along…

More fun than a barrel of baby sloth (look it up you’ll agree that’s a lot of fun!)

  1. Now then,
That Eddie Lawson rep’ was always a handsome thing and one of my favourites.
The final BMW shown here is from the late 1930’s.. tho’ I have instantly forgotten which model [R27~ R31..?] and the condition is called “Patina”. People these days actually prefer it to a restored show pony and will pay extra for it.. within reason.. apparently.
I sent you 2 filums.. one being a Spitfire for sale and 2 being about the grand old hero Norman Dewis of Jaguar. As an expat I thought both would be right up your street.
Dewis to meet and chat to is lovely, delightful. It was he who rolled the XJ13 [V12] development racer off the banking at Mira when a tyre blew, and it ended up totally trashed.. he walked away. Sir Wm Lyons said.. “no more, that’s it .. it’s over” [racing].
Did either arrive or would they not play on US tv.?
    Do advise.
Yesterday,, 31c here,, hottest July day ever. Over 40c on the ground at Wimbledon. Yikes.!
And then an epic thunder storm with deluge last night, spectacular lightning directly over this house. Magic.
    Back to normal today.. 18c.!
    Damnation.
    Have a good day.

    • Bill, those videos didn’t make their way here… Were they via gmail? Weather been nice here… 70’s with rain every other day. No heat yet…. We have a holiday tomorrow because of gaining independence from blighty many years ago. 4th on Saturday so red white and blue and fireworks…
The Kwak ZRX can be had for $3k in mint condition… If I can’t find a decent Speed Triple I’m very tempted…. In green/purple…
